College life can be difficult to adjust to, especially for black students at Berkeley. The AASD community including student groups, campus programs and departments welcomes students with a host of events at the beginning of the fall semester. These events range from welcome mixers, BBQs, student group fashion shows, resource fairs to the student group day/step show. AASD STUDENT GROUP DAY - YARD SHOW

Student group day is the opportunity for incoming and returning students to meet members from the various student groups on campus. Located on Lower Sproul Plaza, the afternoon is filled with positive community spirit, games, activities, and step performances by black fraternities and sororities.
