Native Americans are an integral part of the University's educational history. Native American Student Development is a testimonial to the continued efforts of the University to insure that Native American students receive support from the beginning of their University career to graduation. The Office of the Assistant Vice Provost–Undergraduate Education supports NASD and is committed to ensuring a successful educational experience for all Native American scholars.

Faculty, professional staff and students work in partnership to achieve NASD principal mission of providing an enriched and supportive environment for a student's academic and personal development. NASD encourages academic success, leadership development and responsibility to community
through participation in classes, activities and community internships.
